The Hamrah Arts Club is a free, multilingual mentorship program for refugee and immigrant youth (ages 9–17). It provides a safe space for creative expression and dialogue, fostering intercultural solidarity and belonging. Participants engage in art-making and play to explore identity and build community connections.
Fall 2025
MOCA Satellite is a free mobile arts education program for K–12 students in Title I schools. Teaching artists lead workshops that connect current exhibition themes with classroom curriculum. This initiative ensures high-quality contemporary arts access and nurtures critical thinking in underserved communities.
September 12, 2025 - October 17, 2025
Minor Mutiny is a paid teen council program (ages 13–18) where youth collaborate with mentors to design, develop, and install a collective art project. The program builds professional skills in exhibition design and empowers teens to influence the museum's future.
October 6, 2020 - December 8, 2020
Stay Gold is a free intergenerational arts program for the LGBTQIA+ community (ages 13–100+). Through workshops in various mediums like theater and movement, participants explore the "queer imaginary" and build connections. It offers a supportive space for creative expression and community-building across generations.
Spring 2025
School Tours are engaging, educator-led visits for groups of all ages (Wed–Fri). They encourage dialogue and critical inquiry about contemporary art, connecting exhibition themes to real life. Optional hands-on activities can be added, transforming the museum into an interactive learning extension for the classroom.
