Art Now! Conversation + Studio Visit with M Smith

Join us for an intimate conversation with MOCA Artist-in-Residence M Smith, and learn about the artist's practice and body of work made during their time in MOCA's studios. The talk will be facilitated by Laura Copelin, MOCA Curator-at-Large.

Following the conversation, visitors are invited to a studio visit with M Smith on MOCA's 3rd floor studio space. Please note: MOCA's 3rd floor studio spaces are only accessible by three flights of stairs.

This event takes place during the first hour of Free Third Thursdays and will be followed by a lively gathering in MOCA's galleries around art, music, and drinks!

 

About the Artist
M Smith is a painter, dj, birthworker, writer, whose work is always inspired by feeling and emotion. The works made at MOCA as an Artist in Residence have been created by M putting themselves in the shoes of their younger self, looking at photos from moments not remembered, and trying to capture their feeling and essence.
