Jocko Weyland: The Slanted Broom

Jocko Weyland

In the East Wing, MOCA welcomes Jocko Weyland’s The Slanted Broom. Weyland participated in MOCA’s Artist in Residence program just as MOCA was converting the former fire station into a contemporary art museum. This inspired a series of photographs that expose the co-mingling cultures, objects and ideas that were generated during the transition. The Slanted Broom is comprised of those photographs, and installations of the displacement that occurred as various and sundry objects migrated around the ever-shifting space of the Museum.
